We have 46 hours remaining for the Cartoon Action Hour: Season 3 Kickstarter campaign
. The campaign has been wildly successful, but there are plenty of exciting stretch goals left to unlock, including a supplement that takes the game out of the eighties and into other eras, a Thundarr the Barbarian-style series book, Setback/Oomph cards, a hardcover upgrade, custom d12s and more.
With 17 stretch goals already unlocked, anyone backing the project will receive some amazing rewards. In fact, even those who buy in at the $10 “PDF only” level will not only get the PDF of the rulebook, but will also get most of the PDF supplements that have been unlocked as stretch goals. These include “mini” series books by cartoon legends Flint Dille and Buzz Dixon (if you don’t know who they are, watch a random cartoon from the 1980s and you’re likely to find their names in the credits), as well as game industry superstars such as John Wick, Matt Forbeck, Steve Long, Shane Hensley, Jason L Blair, Eddy Webb, Thomas Willoughby, Steven “Bull” Ratkovich and Robert Wieland! That’s a lot of game material for a paltry $10!
We also have some extremely fun upper-level tiers available as well, so there’s something for just about everyone in this Kickstarter.
It all ends on Saturday, June 2nd, so there’s never been a better time to get in on the retro-toon action! Now you know… and knowing is… well, you know the rest.
The Cartoon Action Hour: Season 3 Kickstarter
campaign has been extremely fast-moving so far. After only 24 hours, we have reached 91% of our goal amount. Now, we want to do something fun! We have decided that if we can hit our $4,500 goal amount by midnight tonight (Central time), we will add a brand new "mystery" $5,000 stretch goal that fans are sure to love! And we only need $400 to make it happen!

Spectrum Games proudly announces the launch of the Cartoon Action Hour: Season 3 Kickstarter campaign!
According to Spectrum President, Cynthia Celeste Miller, “Cartoon Action Hour is our flagship game and we want to ensure that it’s as good as it can possibly be, both in terms of game system and presentation. And that’s exactly what we’ve set out to do with Season 3.”
The Kickstarter offers backers all the expected benefits, plus a slew of unexpected ones as well, including a personal phone call from Kargorr (the inept master villain that has hosted every edition of the game thus far) and the opportunity to have their own one-of-a-kind cover featuring themselves as the central hero.
The stretch goals are equally interesting and include customized d12s, cards and short series books from industry veterans such as John Wick, Steven “Bull” Ratkovich, Jason L Blair, Matt Forbeck, Shane Hensely, Eddy Webb and Steve Long!
“Kickstarter really is perfect for Cartoon Action Hour: Season 3,” adds Spectrum Talent Coordinator Barak Blackburn, “The goal is for this to be a product for fans of the game and fans of the genre alike. Personally, I’m excited to see what our all-star stretch goal writers come up with. These are some of my favorite designers in the game industry and they represent a very diverse cross section of published products, so we’re bound to end up with an amazing assortment of series from them.”
So, grab yourself a bowl of cereal, put on your Underoos and prepare to immerse yourself in the action cartoons of yesteryear once again.

With myself, Barak, Norbert and Stephen working like mad to kick out high-quality products, we've found little time to publicize our products as aggressively as we'd like. For this reason, we are adding one more member to the team. So please welcome Ellie Hillis to the fold. With her expertise in social media and public relations, we'll be a stronger company overall. 2012 was an amazing year for Spectrum Games and 2013 looks to be even stronger!

Actually, I should say, "And the winners are", because two separate individuals (James McKnight and Randall Petras) sent the name Retrostar as their entries. What are the odds of that? We took it to be kismet and selected it as the name of our upcoming RPG that will emulate the science fiction TV shows of the 1970s!
This was not an easy choice, however, as we had 201 incredible entries!
