Spectrum Games proudly announces the launch of the Cartoon Action Hour: Season 3 Kickstarter campaign!

According to Spectrum President, Cynthia Celeste Miller, “Cartoon Action Hour is our flagship game and we want to ensure that it’s as good as it can possibly be, both in terms of game system and presentation. And that’s exactly what we’ve set out to do with Season 3.”

The Kickstarter offers backers all the expected benefits, plus a slew of unexpected ones as well, including a personal phone call from Kargorr (the inept master villain that has hosted every edition of the game thus far) and the opportunity to have their own one-of-a-kind cover featuring themselves as the central hero.

The stretch goals are equally interesting and include customized d12s, cards and short series books from industry veterans such as John Wick, Steven “Bull” Ratkovich, Jason L Blair, Matt Forbeck, Shane Hensely, Eddy Webb and Steve Long!

“Kickstarter really is perfect for Cartoon Action Hour: Season 3,” adds Spectrum Talent Coordinator Barak Blackburn, “The goal is for this to be a product for fans of the game and fans of the genre alike. Personally, I’m excited to see what our all-star stretch goal writers come up with. These are some of my favorite designers in the game industry and they represent a very diverse cross section of published products, so we’re bound to end up with an amazing assortment of series from them.”

So, grab yourself a bowl of cereal, put on your Underoos and prepare to immerse yourself in the action cartoons of yesteryear once again.

DriveThruRPG (http://rpg.drivethrustuff.com/) will handle all PDF fulfillment and printing.

ABOUT CARTOON ACTION HOUR: SEASON 3

Season 3 is the third edition of the Origins-nominated Cartoon Action Hour, the roleplaying game that emulates the fun and excitement of the 1980s action cartoons. It is not simply a universal game adorned with genre-appropriate artwork. Rather, it was designed from the ground up to evoke every nuance of the source material.

With myself, Barak, Norbert and Stephen working like mad to kick out high-quality products, we've found little time to publicize our products as aggressively as we'd like. For this reason, we are adding one more member to the team. So please welcome Ellie Hillis to the fold. With her expertise in social media and public relations, we'll be a stronger company overall. 2012 was an amazing year for Spectrum Games and 2013 looks to be even stronger!

Actually, I should say, "And the winners are", because two separate individuals (James McKnight and Randall Petras) sent the name Retrostar as their entries. What are the odds of that? We took it to be kismet and selected it as the name of our upcoming RPG that will emulate the science fiction TV shows of the 1970s!

This was not an easy choice, however, as we had 201 incredible entries!

Capes, Cowls and Villains Foul won "Best RPG Product for 2012" at the first annual Mythie Awards! According to the website:

"This indie RPG, published by Spectrum Games, could have been considered the underdog, competing with bigger name products like the Marvel Heroic RPG and supplements from both Pathfinder and D&D, but it beat its competition with over 50% of the votes. Fast paced and fun, this superhero-themed roleplaying game that celebrates the little-used d12 will be coming soon to Modern Myths INC!"

We are all very honored and excited about this. Thanks to all who voted
