Spectrum Games is pleased to announce that the “Capes, Cowls and Villains Foul” rulebook is now available as a print product at RPGNow and DriveThruRPG.
According to Spectrum president Cynthia Celeste Miller, “We’re extremely pleased with how the book turned out and we feel that it more than meets the high aesthetic demands of today’s superhero RPG market. Seeing it as a PDF is one thing… seeing it as a physical book is something else entirely.” CC&VF is a 168-page full-color, trade paperback-sized softcover book with high-quality thick pages. A PDF + hardcopy bundle is also available. You can purchase this product here: And check out the DLC at the official CC&VF page: http://www.spectrum-games.com/capes-cowls-and-villains-foul.html Night Shift (Slasher Flick; Oct.)
Slasher Flick fans will be in for a real treat (or trick) in October, as Rob Saunders brings you "Night Shift". This supplement brings you a unique new location in which to base your flicks: a supermarket! In addition to a map, it will also contain a detailed description of the place, some killers, a selection of plot ideas, extensive Director advice and 10+ new character templates specifically for the setting. This will be perfect for gamers looking for something to run for Halloween! The Other Side of the Mirror (Macabre Tales; Oct.) In this adventure from the twisted mind of Michael Lanzinger, dark and sinister things await the primary character, who has been hired to go to Rome, Italy in order to seek out truths hinted at in the dreaded Necronomicon. But the closer he gets to these truths, the stranger things get... until he finds himself in an incomprehensible situation that has to be experienced to be believed. Will he make it out with his life and sanity intact? Gallery of Evil (Capes, Cowls and Villains Foul; Dec.) Every superhero game needs villains and with this supplement, CC&VF fans will have quite a selection to choose from! Gallery of Evil presents you with 50+ bad guys to plague the heroes with, ranging from an alien force of destruction (D'Struk'Tor) to an enhanced gorilla with a brain-in-a-jar in place of a head (Alistair Wellington)... and everything in between. Virtually every base is covered, making this book an absolute must-have! As you know, Spectrum Games has recently been expanding in order to meet work demands and bring the company to the next level, both in terms of quality and output. To these ends, we've completed the staff expansion by bringing Stephen Shepherd on board as our art director. I've worked with him off and on since 2003 and Norbert, Barak and myself feel that he's the perfect man for the job and are very glad that he accepted our offer. -- Cynthia
The last few years have been pretty good to Spectrum. Sales have been up and with it, a demand for more products. The company isn't exactly rolling in money, but it's doing better. However, in order to meet the demand and allow Spectrum to grow, I can no longer operate the company as a one-person venture. So, it pleases me to announce that I am officially bringing Norbert Franz and Barak Blackburn on board as full-blown employees.
I've worked with them both for a while now (Norbert for 10 years and Barak for 3 years) and we've accomplished a lot as a result, so this is the logical next step to take. I'm greatly looking forward to working with them in a more official capacity so that we can increase our output as a company. The best, as they say, is yet to come. If you'd like to whip up characters for CC&VF without using points, this free PDF should be right up your alley! Plus, it contains a dozen additional character templates for you to use. Run over (using your super-speed, of course) to DrivethruRPG to download it!
Lets' get some action going over at the Spectrum Games forum.
